I used to be scared of escalators

I used to be scared of escalators. It was the whole "Oh, no not again! Be careful... Timing, timing, step on it...now! Aargh, missed it!" thing. As a six-year-old, shopping trips were terrifying.

I did, however, love travelators.

I never liked escalators... but guess what else I used to be scared of? Revolving doors! They used to freak me out.

I was never very good at tying my shoelaces as a kid (my secret shame!) and I was always terrified that my loose shoelaces would get caught at the end of the escalator, no doubt pulling me under to my death!!! I'm still not so good at tying my shoelaces actually... but then, there are always stairs and elevators :-)

I wish you had been unaware of such dangers and been pulled into the machinery and went bye bye.
